Hand cream 2

Hand cream according to its effect on the skin

  • A nourishing hand cream replenishes the skin with substances that it loses with age. It should contain ceramides, hyaluronic acid and vitamin A.
  • A moisturizing hand cream replenishes the skin's missing water, even to the deeper layers. Water is best bound by glycerol, urea or lanolin.
  • A regenerating hand cream provides healing to the skin and reduces water evaporation from the skin. The composition should not lack vegetable oil or extract.
  • A barrier hand cream should contain a moisturizing ingredient and a film that protects the skin from irritants that damage it.

Cream according to skin type

Dry skin

For inherently dry skin, use a moisturizing hand cream during the day and a regenerating hand cream at night. As a day cream for dry hands, choose a cream with glycerol, which binds water in the skin. At night, choose oilier creams with oils such as almond, sea buckthorn, jojoba, or healing creams with a petroleum jelly base such as calendula, grapefruit, aloe.
Moisturise dry skin due to ageing during the day with a hand cream with glycerol, urea or lanolin. At night, use a regenerating hand cream with ceramides. Ceramides are part of the skin cells. They diminish with age, resulting in poor skin barrier renewal, dryness and fragility.
Eczematous dry skin due to repeated irritation from external influences must be effectively protected from irritants in addition to hydration. Use a barrier hand cream with moisturizing effect before the day. At night, moisturizer with glycerol or urea. Lanolin is not suitable for eczematous skin.

Normal skin

Healthy skin needs to be protected to stay healthy. Use Dermaguard barrier cream on your hands before works. It helps stressed skin strengthen its natural barrier function. It protects it from irritation and dryness, and the skin doesn't have to work as hard to regenerate. Even normal skin can occasionally be treated to a nourishing hand cream or a regenerating hand cream. It is up to us whether we choose an oily or moisturizing cream, it is important that it contains vitamins A, E, C.

Oily skin

Naturally oily skin is more of an aesthetic problem. There is no need to use any special creams for oily hands, as the complications of too oily skin on the hands do not manifest themselves. The skin of the hands will not be harmed by occasional care based on a nightly regenerating cream. Do not choose oil-based creams but rather glycerin creams with a regenerative ingredient such as calendula or chamomile.
