    In the Garden

    Garden dermatitis

Sprays and garden chemicals cause contact dermatitis. Some plant species in turn cause phytophotodermatitis*. Dust and soil dry the skin and abrade it during physical work. This disrupts the skin barrier, causes long-term irritation and can lead to inflammation in the form of eczema. The symptoms of skin dermatitis are mostly similar: red, dry skin peels and itches, scales form. Sometimes the skin becomes horny and painful cracks or blisters form. In phytophotodermatitis, spots similar to age spots can form on the skin and persist for a long time.

*Phytophotodermatitis is caused by the action of certain plant juices, mainly myrrh and citrus, in combination with UV radiation. Burn-like, painful blisters form.

When and How to Use Dermaguard

Dermaguard - liquid gloves are used as a preventive means of protection. They are applied before work. They do not replace gloves, but help protect the skin from allergen penetration. This prevents subsequent reactions such as redness, itching and burning of the skin. The cream can be used to soothe even the first signs of dermatitis. If the disease is developed and active, it is important to treat the skin first and start using the cream only when the skin is healed. This will prevent the problem from recurring.
