Prevention of dyshidrotic eczema and some tips for treatment
In this article we will not describe the causes or symptoms of dyshidrotic eczema. They are well known to the diagnosed patient. We will focus on treatment and prevention to reduce recurrence.

How to treat dyshidrotic eczema
The treatment of dyshidrotic eczema consists of suppressing individual symptoms. These are inflamed skin, fluid-filled subcutaneous pimples, itching, peeling skin and possibly wetting.
Rarely can more extensive (e.g. on the whole palms of the hands or soles of the feet) dyshidrotic eczema be cured by home remedies. The most effective way is to see a dermatologist who will write you a prescription ointment. Most often these are ointments with varying strengths of corticosteroids. There is no need to worry about side effects. Corticosteroids occur naturally in the human body and are perfectly safe when treated for several days. They work quickly, remove inflammation, itching, pimples disappear. The problem could be with frequent repetition of treatment or with prolonged use over months. Corticosteroids weaken the skin, which is then more susceptible to a new outbreak.
Home treatment of dyshidrotic eczema
Home treatment for dyshidrotic eczema involves soothing the skin, removing itching, drying out the pimples and keeping the peeling skin well hydrated.
Use baths or compresses to soothe the skin. Of the baths, a weak pink solution of hypermanganese, a black tea decoction or a decoction of burdock seems to be suitable. They also have a drying effect on pimples. However, the skin is itchy, so histamine tablets should be purchased.
Never pierce or scratch pimples. It's very difficult. Cotton gloves, bandages or the hystamine tablets mentioned above (Zodac, Zyrtec, Xyzal) can help. The pimples will dry up after a few days. The skin usually peels off at the site of the deposit, but it no longer itches. The site is then moisturised several times a day with a cream with glycerin and glycerol (Dermaguard) for effective hydration. If we don't moisturize the skin, crusting will occur, which will painfully burst until it bleeds and treatment will be prolonged. The cracked area can be lubricated with a so-called black (Ichtoxyl) ointment.
How to prevent recurrence of dyshidrotic eczema
The most common cause of dyshidrotic eczema is contact irritation. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid what triggered the inflammation. When the cause is unknown or the situation is difficult to avoid, it is a good idea to try Dermaguard barrier cream. It creates an invisible microfilm on the skin, which forms a barrier between the skin and the possible allergen. It is important to apply this cream at least twice a day to protect and keep your skin in good condition. The cream also moisturizes well and gives weakened skin time to regenerate.
